Calls require to have the camera and microphone enabled for both you and the creator before starting. Here’s a quick instruction on how to do that in most popular browsers:
Google Chrome
Click on the call button in the interface to see the message that asks you to enable your camera and microphone.
This message will prompt a notification with the text informing you that Fancentro wants to use your microphone/camera with options to Allow or Block. Make sure to click Allow.
You are all set, refresh the page and start a call whenever you find it convenient.
If you previously blocked access to a microphone or camera, make sure to open any page on Fancentro, click on the settings icon next to the page URL in your search bar, and then Site settings.
While on this page, navigate to Permissions and set Camera and Microphone to Allow.
If you’re on mobile, on the left of your address bar, tap Camera or Microphone. These icons only appear if you previously changed your camera and microphone permissions for the site.
Firefox
Upon starting a call, you will receive a browser prompt asking you to accept the permissions to use your device’s camera and microphone with two options: Allow and Block. Make sure to click Allow and checkmark Remember this decision (to not be prompted to enable your microphone and camera later on) and proceed with the call.
Safari
Upon starting a call elect the red camera icon located near the right side of your search bar. Change the camera and microphone access to Always Allow and refresh the browser tab (CMD+R).
On mobile: when you start a call, you will be prompted to enable your camera and microphone ****for use during a call. Please be sure to select Allow. If you previously blocked access to a microphone or camera, make sure to open any page on Fancentro, then open the site menu by clicking on Website settings.
While in the settings, make sure to set the Camera and microphone permissions to Allow.
Opera
By default, Opera will always ask you to allow a site to access your camera and microphone. To allow Fancentro access to your camera:
- Go to Settings;
- Click Advanced in the left sidebar, and click Privacy & security;
- Under Privacy and security, click Site settings;
- Click Camera or Microphone;
- At the top, turn on.
You can also set which camera you wish Opera to use by default if you have more than one connected to your computer. Use the dropdown menu to set your camera preference.
